AN - NASIHAH TRUST
Until 2017, we operated as Nurahibukum Private Madrassah & Schools, primarily focusing on providing education and care for less privileged children at our Centre.
Our services included both
- Deeni and secular education
- Boarding facilities, and
- Comprehensive support covering
- Food
- Clothing
- Daily necessities.
Recognizing the need to broaden our impact, we registered as a Charity Trust in 2017, officially becoming AN – NASIHAH TRUST. Our mission is to serve the indigenous Malawian community by providing secular and Islamic education, primary healthcare, and learning centers. Our goals are to address poverty, improve health, and enhance education in rural Malawi by constructing schools, madrassahs, and clinics, and ensuring easy access to water through wells or boreholes.
AN - NASIHAH TRUST Centre
Our Centre, located in Mpingu township, approximately 30 km from Lilongwe towards Kanyerere township, was established in 1990 with 12 boarding students. Over the years, the number of students has grown, prompting the Centre’s development. By 2015, we had 62 students, and in 2016, this number increased to 90. Today, we proudly accommodate 125 students, providing for all their daily needs, including food, toiletries, medical care, and clothing.
Our facilities, situated on a 4-acre land, include:
- A mosque
- Two classroom blocks
- An administration block
- Four dormitories
- A dining and kitchen block
- A multipurpose hall
- Five staff houses
We are committed to continuing our work to uplift the lives of the Malawian community through education and support services.
Mission
is to serve the indigenous Malawian community by offering a blend of secular and Islamic education, primary healthcare, and essential services. We are committed to addressing poverty, improving health, and enhancing educational opportunities in rural Malawi. By constructing schools, madrassahs, and clinics, and ensuring access to clean water through wells and boreholes, we strive to create a sustainable and impactful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Vision
is to create a prosperous and empowered Malawian society by providing comprehensive educational and healthcare services. We aim to build a community where every individual, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to quality education, primary healthcare, and clean water, thus enabling them to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their full potential.
